Sex Fest

A well attended Horizons was Sex Fest. Debbie Scheibler from Richard Stockton University came and taught us all we ever needed to know (and more) about safe sex and being sexually responsible.

Madison did a great job trying to pin the condom on the guy with drunk goggles on
We considered the list of High Risk, Low Risk and No Risk activities...Safety first!
Condoms are plenty big, so no excuses on why you don't want to use one!
Ryan did an okay job of putting a condom on despite his visual impairment
Debbie brought all sorts of helpful prizes...also, Nathan loves to pose!

The Rezzies

The 2nd annual Rezzie Awards took place in the 11th floor lounge. Residents were nominated in a variety of categories and prizes were given out to the winners. Congrats to all of the winners!

The lounge was decked out in super star style. Dessert was served!
"Best Couple" was presented by our favorite staff duo: Kelly and Hanan
Yale Work picked up a Rezzie
The 1st year male dancers got "Most Infamous Possee"
Grace and Zach enjoyed the night's festivities
Katie, Mistress of Ceremonies, was in charge of distributing prizes
Jeff ran the slide show
Rachelle announced Fei Fei Dong as "Little Miss Sunshine"
Alexey and Melody won "Best Couple"

Sardines

RHC sponsored a night of Sardines! The whole building was used for a giant game of hide-and-seek where Yale Work hid, and everyone looked for him. After several rounds, everyone celebrated with pizza from Big Nick's.

Give Love to Animals

A group of students went to the New York Animal Care and Control (http://www.nycacc.org/) to give some love on Valentine's Day to lonely animals. Not only did it make the animals happy, but the students who went got some much needed puppy love in return.
On the way to the shelter...
As much as they wanted to bring them back, no dogs allowed in the Residence Hall.So cute!
Now that's a happy dog.
Juilliard loves to serve the local community.

Hip Hop Anonymous

Residents got their groove on with choreographer, Lauren Chapman. She taught a hip hop dance to "Pump It" by the Black Eyed Peas. Everyone caught on quick and worked up quite a sweat.

Here's the crew with a final pose after workin' hard.

Afterward, two dancers, Nathan and Ryan, did the combo one more time to show fellow dancer, Spencer.

Music of West Africa

Valerie Naranjo and her husband Barry gave a wonderful presentation about the music of west Africa and played a variety of music from the region. It was an increidble event and we hope to have them back again next year.

The night after that, Elaine Pasqua came to the residence hall and had a fun and engaging program all about drugs, alchol and sex. She was so fun and informative.
